Travel Terms & Conditions
All Travel Impressions travel arrangements are operated by ALG Tide UK Ltd (Registered Address: 54 Portland Place, London, W1B 1DY, United Kingdom. Postal Address: Office 117, 5 High Street, Maidenhead, SL6 1JN, United Kingdom. Registered Number 08514631). Member of ABTA (number Y6128) and ATOL (number 10780).
We provide full financial protection for our package holidays.
For flight-based holidays this is through our Air Travel Organiser’s Licence number 10780 issued by the CAA of 5th Floor, 11 Westferry Circus, London, E14 4HD www.caa.co.uk . When you buy an ATOL protected flight or flight inclusive holiday from us you will receive an ATOL Certificate. This lists what is financially protected, where you can get information on what this means for you and who to contact if things go wrong. We will provide you with the services listed on the ATOL Certificate (or a suitable alternative). In some cases, where we aren’t able to do so for reasons of insolvency, an alternative ATOL holder may provide you with the services you have bought or a suitable alternative (at no extra cost to you). You agree to accept that in those circumstances the alternative ATOL holder will perform those obligations and you agree to pay any money outstanding to be paid by you under your contract to that alternative ATOL holder. However, you also agree that in some cases it will not be possible to appoint an alternative ATOL holder, in which case you will be entitled to make a claim under the ATOL scheme (or your credit card issuer where applicable).
If we are unable to provide the services listed (or a suitable alternative, through an alternative ATOL holder or otherwise) for reasons of insolvency, the Trustees of the Air Travel Trust may make a payment to (or confer a benefit on) you under the ATOL scheme. You agree that in return for such a payment or benefit you assign absolutely to those Trustees any claims which you have or may have arising out of or relating to the non-provision of the services, including any claim against us, the travel agent (or your credit card issuer where applicable). You also agree that any such claims may be re-assigned to another body, if that other body has paid sums you have claimed under the ATOL scheme.
When you buy a package holiday that doesn’t include a flight, protection is in place by way of a Bond that is held by ABTA, ABTA Ltd, 30 Park Street, London SE1 9EQ. In the unlikely event of Insolvency you must contact ABTA immediately on 0203 117 0599. Please ensure that you retain your Booking Confirmations as evidence of your contract with ALG Tide UK Ltd. The price of our air holiday packages includes the amount of £2.50* per person as part of the ATOL Protection Contribution (APC) we pay to the CAA. This charge is included in our advertised prices [and will be shown separately on your confirmation invoice].
Many of the flights and flight-inclusive holidays in this brochure are financially protected by the ATOL scheme. But ATOL protection does not apply to all holiday and travel services listed in this brochure. please ask us to confirm what protection may apply to your booking. If you do not receive an ATOL Certificate then the booking will not be ATOL protected. If you do receive an ATOL Certificate but all the parts of your trip are not listed on it, those parts will not be ATOL protected. If a flight component is booked separately with another agency, then it will be covered by the Agent’s ATOL. Please see our booking conditions for information, or for more information about financial protection and the ATOL Certificate go to: www.atol.org.uk/ATOLCertificate. When you buy a flight-based holiday, all monies you pay to the travel agent are held by the travel agent on behalf and for the benefit of the Trustees of the Air Travel Trust at all times. This is subject to the agent’s obligation to pay it to us (ALG Tide UK Ltd) for so long as we do not fail. If we fail, any money held at that time by the agent, or subsequently accepted from you by your agent, is and continues to be held on behalf of and for the benefit of the Trustees of the Air Travel Trust without any obligation to pay that money to ALG Tide UK Ltd. When you buy a holiday not including a flight, all monies you pay to the travel agent are held by him on our behalf at all times.
We are a Member of ABTA, membership number Y6128. We are obliged to maintain a high standard of service to you by ABTA’s Code of Conduct. We can also offer you ABTA’s scheme for the resolution of disputes which is approved by the Chartered Trading Standards Institute. If we can’t resolve your complaint, go to www.abta.com to use ABTA’s simple procedure. Further information on the Code and ABTA’s assistance in resolving disputes can be found on www.abta.com. You can also access the European Commission Online Dispute (ODR) Resolution platform at http://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/. This ODR platform is a means of notifying us of your complaint; it will not determine how your complaint should be resolved. The Scheme does not apply to claims for an amount greater than £5,000* per person. There is also a limit of £25,000* per booking form. Neither does it apply to claims which are solely in respect of physical injury or illness or their consequences. The Scheme can however deal with compensation claims which include an element of minor personal injury or illness subject to a limit of £1,500* on the amount the arbitrator can award per person in respect of this element. In order to apply for arbitration, the complaint must be sent to ABTA Consumer Affairs no later than 18 months after return from the holiday using an online form which can be found at www.abta.com. Further details on the ABTA Arbitration Scheme can be found at www.abta.com. For claims not covered by the ABTA Arbitration Scheme such as personal injury, serious illness, nervous shock, death or consequences of any of these, you may want to use the mediation scheme. Mediation cannot be used if you have started a legal action unless both parties have agreed to suspend or stop the legal action. The mediation scheme is independent from ABTA and is a quicker and easier way to resolve your dispute. Further details on the mediation scheme can be found at www.abta.com.
